A quick word
I have too much nail polish. It's a problem. Despite this, I seem to lack the self-determination to stop purchasing the little bottles of joy. After all, there's nothing like a six dollar bottle of glitter to get your spirits up after a long day. Some people act rationally. I buy nail polish.

For the first order of business.
It's July. I know it's hot. Sometimes, it's so hot that I want to lie in my fridge with a pint of ice cream. Unfortunately, I can't do that. What I can do, is wait for a break in the heat to whip out my new cowboy boots. While I may be from New Jersey, I like to feel that I have enough country in me to pull these babies off.
Today I wore them and got so in the spirit that I ended up going to CookOut* and got myself a Watermellon Milkshake. That's right. There is a watermellon milkshake in existence and guess what? IT'S DELICIOUS. From now on, these will be dubbed "The Lucky Boots" for leading me to such delicious offerings. However, since the 100+ degree weather looks like it's going to start up again soon, these boots might have to go away for a little while. Nobody likes stanky feet.
I wish I could get better pictures of these, but my camera is MIA. Someday soon, I hope to capture them not from propping up my laptop at just the right angle on the floor, but rather in all the quality they deserve. Until then, enjoy this close-up of the stitching courtesy of the much nice iPhone camera.
Boots from Ariat. I also found these on their website for the more daring folks who want the convenience of that country feel with a safari touch.
*CookOut is the greatest fast food establishment of all time, bar none. It has Cheerwine (the greatest soft drink of all time) stocked in its soda fountains. You can get a pulled pork sandwich, hushpuppies, and a quesadilla for $4.00. I will sing CookOut's praises until I die. But if I keep eating as much CookOut as I do... that will probably be sooner rather than later.

Starting Over
You know, originally I started a blog because "All the cool kids were doing it." Then I drifted off and got really behind on my actual life and couldn't keep it up. But here's the thing. I know only roughly ten people see this a day, but I miss writing. And you know what? I need the motivation to dress cute everyday. I'm a twenty-two year-old college student. Sometimes I just want to throw on yoga pants and get on with it. If I have to post pictures of myself daily, then maybe I'll put some effort into the way that I look. Style my hair, put on mascara--all that good stuff.
So here's the thing. I'm going to start this blog over.
It might be tough, since I'm not sure where my camera is, but I'll make it work.
I'm going to post every day. Right now, I'm thinking that it'll be the chronicles of what I wear to keep me out of sweatpants, but I still have other tricks up my sleeve I'd like to try out. As for my old posts, I'm going to hold on to them and maybe bring back some of my favorites. It's summertime, the livin' is easy, (jk jk, I have two jobs and no idea if I'll make rent) and I'm going to do this thang. I miss writing daily, even if it's just a paragraph or two. And I miss mugging it for a blog no one really reads. So I'm doing this for me and hopefully in the next few weeks my vision will gel together and I'll come up with something I can look forward to updating every day. Including weekends. Because if there is anything I hate, it's blogs mysteriously never updating on weekends. It's the most time I get to spend on the damn internet and nothing. is. ever. new.
In other news, I don't really know how to use the internet and during that time lost the domain rights to allthe-coolkids.com. So I'm just going to allthecoolkids.net. It seems like the best solution for someone as inherently non-savvy as I am when it comes to computers.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
